Official: Jayelle Morgan has enjoyed reading romances since the very first box of classics her aunt sent her. After a few fits and starts as a non-fiction freelancer, she finally started writing them. She fuels her creativity with three writer staples: coffee, chocolate, and daydreams.
Though she’ll always be a Texan at heart, she now lives in frigid Michigan with her husband and two children. If she’s not working on her latest romance, you’ll find her reading one, binge watching Netflix ,or enjoying the great outdoors… if it’s warm enough.
Expanded: I never know what to say in these things. What on earth would anyone want to know about me? But, I guess if you’re on this page, you must be curious. So what can I tell you?
I love writing. Like every other author bio, that has to be included. I loved it throughout my entire school career, and then put it away for ‘adult’ things for far too many years. Through a series of events and conversations, I’ve found my way to it again. And I have no plans of ever parting with it.
I love sweets. All kinds of sweets, though pie is definitely in the top three. I love them so much, that I am necessarily on a low-carb diet, for life. Except for pie, tiramisu, and baklava. I will break any and all diet parameters for those!
I have 2 young children. Although one of them somehow grew up while I wasn’t looking and turned 10 this year. I dearly miss little-her, but I love getting to know big-her. The youngest is the sweetest, funniest, yet most trying child you will ever meet. Any and all grey hairs are her fault.
My favorite quote is “Sometimes on the way to a dream, you get lost and find a better one.” I’ve had several dreams in my life, most which ultimately did not come true. But it led me here, to the the things I have presently that I wouldn’t trade for anything. My two children. My husband, my own Happily Ever After. The chance to write down the stories and worlds and characters in my head and actually have others read and enjoy them. There are things I miss, things I regret. It hasn’t always been an easy or joyous path. But this, right now, is my Better Dream.
Thanks for being a part of it! Curious about anything else? Want to know more? I’d love to hear from you.
